Mike Roche, former Olympian and American Record holder
(1976 Montreal - 3000 Steeplechase, 10 miles, 46:57/1981)
realized his dream of creating a running specialty store where runners of all abilities can benefit from his experiences as an athlete and marketer of performance running shoes.
After spending over 20 years helping to conceptualize running shoes in collaboration with some of the most respected Biomechanics Labs in the world, Roche brings his expertise to the Boston Running Company. At the BRC, runners and walkers experience the most comprehensive fitting process available. Video Gait Analysis begins the process followed by a thorough explanation of footwear options and precise fittings. Many running injuries can be prevented when biomechanics and shoe mechanics are given the proper professional attention.
The Boston Running Company opened in October of 2003.
